Born on January 1st, a Happy New Years baby! My mother called me "E.T." because I had big curious eyes and long fingers with lots of wrinkles. I love to smile at strangers, ever since I was a little girl. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, I worked as a chief overseas event coordinator. The fabulous Japanese illustrator Makoto Nagasawa taught me watercolor painting and he became my mentor, which changed my life completely! Summer of 1999, I visited New York City for the first time and fell in love with the New York Energy! In December 2001, I moved to New York City to pursue my career as an artist and received a BFA in illustration from School of Visual Arts in 2005. My Dubai skyline illustration for Wassla Weekly received the Altpick Award Second Place! Since September 2009, I have been studying Sustainability & Environmental Management at Harvard University Extension School and enjoying learning how to live in balance with our precious planet. I continue selling artworks and working as a freelance artist & designer and recently having fun being a runway model! I love to share the beauty in reality through my artworks and communicating with art lovers has been such a wonderful experience. I would like to spread happiness and "Relax & Feel Good" energy all over the world! |
