I
met this wonderful Sambazon smoothie at a Mexican restaurant when we used to live on a sail boat in New York harbor. I was so excited to find this mysterious exotic name in the menu. They had the Sambazon brochure at the counter and I began learning about Sambazon and I’ve been eating it ever since!
Here is my simple tasty recipe for your smoothie:
banana
water
pure acai frozen smoothie pack (no sugar added)
frozen peaches
frozen blueberries
frozen strawberries
Vary the amount of each ingredient as you like and the key is to put the banana first so that your blender will have an easy start.
Cherish this beautiful purple color... pour into your glass... icy tart freshness on your hot tongue, play with a little bit of sweet chunks, all the goodness into your throat, stomach, then spread into your whole body, even into your tiny veins.
Aaahh... the simple goodness of mother nature!
Acai lover mihoko ;D
*My dear Jeremy Black (the top right pic), one of the Sambazon founders, asked me to illustrate acai berries for Sambazon a little while ago and here is one of the artworks with me inside! Yes, I love dancing and acai berries make me dance!!

"I just took yoga classes."
"Which ones?"
"Gretchen and Steve. They are wonderful!"
He was so sweet! I like this gym more than ever :D

Do you know one of the most delicious bakeries in New York called Grandaisy Bakery in SoHo? It is previously called Sullivan Bakery. Their bread and pastries are so beautiful and delicious! Many of New York restaurants are in love with their bread :D
The left image is "Flying Easter Dove" illustration I did for their Easter Dove bread campaign. The owner of the bakery, Monica, loves the illustration, which makes me really happy!!
She gave me the Easter Dove bread the other day, which tastes so amazing! ... Crispy outside with sugar and almond, then you go into the many layers of softness and will be surprised at the refreshing open-minded orange peel+citron sparkles and Italian chocolate melty in your mouth... what a perfect harmony! Cheers to Monica :D You do magic! Thank you so much for giving me this fabulous opportunity, Monica!
Happy Beautiful Easter to you, everyone~!!
Look at the picture below. Very sunny & cozy bakery, isn't it?
;D
Khuz @ ACT, inc. sent me the cover image for SOS magazine (Vol.24) published in Japan, distributed in New York, London, Canada, Malaysia and China! He asked me to have my pictures for his magazine cover a little while ago.

I went to see my friend Tamango's Urban Tap at Town Hall with my dear friend Rhonda.
Tamango is the most talented tap dancer I have ever seen!! "One is tempted to call him the best dancer of any kind around." - The New York Times
His feet are unbelievably talkative, his dance is so elegant & delicate yet powerful & urban at the same time. One time I took tap dancing lessons from him but of course I cannot make a sound like his... very difficult! >>> Click here to read the latest review in the New York Times :D
Tamango inspired me to create this piece called "Tamango's Tap Energy". Here is the part of the drawing. His body is composed by the letters, e, n, e, r, g, y! I wanted to express his explosive amazing energy through drawing. This picture of my drawing was taken by my friend Kai when she came to my Open Studio Show :D Thank you so much, Kai!
Loving this gym! Because it is in Chelsea, the members are mostly gay and some of them I see in the changing room are transsexual. What a fun place to hang out! Not only that, you don't have to care about guys staring at you, if you are female ;)
I metAmanda Lepore the other day, who is the most famous transsexual in New York. She was such a sweet person :) She liked my eye liner shape and asked me if the eye liner is a tattoo and I said "no, I just drew these now." She told me her eye brows are tattoos, so even after the shower, she had the perfect eye brows lines already. She also would like to have her eyeliner tattooed on in a shape like I drew, OUUUCH...sounds SO painful! She has beautiful smooth skin and amazing body shape; I heard she had some ribs removed to enhance her hourglass shape. She has full lips, busty breasts and voluptuous butt. You can change your body shape in any way you want! What an
amazing world we live in!
The best part of this gym is the gorgeous shower room and changing room, and of course the wonderful yoga teachers!! My Big Respect goes to Gretchen Borgum, Stephen Lincoln (Program Director) and Phillip Kyle-Askew! Gretchen, I am so addicted to your classes!! I wish I can take your class every day! Even though your classes are hard, your sense of humor and fabulous energy keep me going!! I am so lucky to have met beautiful you ;D
These days I go there to take yoga classes at least three times a week and other days do the machines :D I want to be more flexible and stronger this year ;D When I lift free weights, I can only lift the bar by itself 45lbs, I look funny, but it's fun and challenging. ...meanwhile all the macho yet very feminine gay guys are lifting unbelievably heavy weights non-stop next to me!
I LOVE the DBG posters and their clever copy line, "Look Better Naked"! This is David Barton, the founder of David Barton Gym and his wife, nightclub promoter, Suzanne Bartsch in the center. Don't ask me about the right one but I love this one too :D
